I’m a words person. As a PR professional, that’s always been a really good thing - but recently words-folks like myself have been adding the power of visual thinking to our bag of storytelling tricks. Our world has changed dramatically in the past year or two. Now more than ever, pictures are worth at least 1000 words. So when client DA-Desk asked us to develop an animated video, I felt some trepidation at plunging into the visual medium – but ultimately powered through.

Someone once said that the more things change, the more they stay the same. Well, the public relations industry has changed dramatically over the past twelve months—with content marketing and visual storytelling at the forefront. One thing that hasn’t changed—at least not in my opinion—is the importance of precise positioning for a company or for a product. Without proper brand positioning, and hence the messages derived from that positioning, there would be no content for content marketing and no story for visual storytelling.
